What we do, in a nutshell

5 Steps to Keep the Forest Sacred

Daniël Povel, co-Founder and Chief of Integrity Officer of Sacred Forests, explains our five-step methodology - a framework that places Indigenous Peoples at the heart of forest conservation, and brands at the forefront of global change to protect the planet’s most vital ecosystems. What we do, in a nutshell:

🌿 CaaS: Through Conservation as a Service, we pay Indigenous stewards to protect their ancestral forests.

🏞️ Land Buy Backs: We strategically acquire and return ancestral lands to Indigenous hands.

🌱 ANR: We integrate Assisted Natural Regeneration techniques to accelerate forest recovery.

📡 Monitoring: State-of-the-art tech to supply Indigenous rangers with near-real-time monitoring.

🤝 Community Life Plans: We co-develop a plan with Indigenous Peoples that reflects their vision for well-being and prosperity.
